When the product thickness is optimized to a certain degree, the pursuit of ultra-thin design shall be restricted by the function of the product. The best example is consumer goods that focus on the thickness and seal of a product. The thinner the product is, the more flexible it will become and the sealing effect will also be better. Nonetheless, if the product is too thin, the strength, function and sealing effect will be negatively affected.
